Mum is Lucy Lou, picture 3, she is short haired. Lucy is a fantastic dog, easy to train, loves play time, loves to cuddle, she is my pretty girl. Lucy was 2 years old in Dec.
Dad is Chewie, picture 4, he is long haired. Chewie is very much in the vein of a sheep dog, its in his nature, he loves to play , he would play all the time if he could, but he learns quickly and does as he is told, most of the time. And as you can see Chewie is my handsome little boy. Chewie is 2 years old this month.
More pictures will be added.
Puppies get named around two weeks old as that helps with training and knowing that they have hearing.
I do things differently, anyone wanting a pup tells me about them, their home, job, family, etc and if suitable I put the right puppy with them, the puppy that best suits the persons circumstances, be it a boy or girl puppy; the reason is quite simple, many people take dogs that they are not able to handle or look after them, therefore many dogs have to be rehomed; I do not want my puppies to be rehomed; so if you are just wanting the cutest one try a puppy farm; I say this as I have previously allowed pups to go to homes I was thinking might not be right, as I did not want to let the people down, but I was letting the puppy down and I wont do that again; I love all these puppies and I want them to have great fun filled, lovely food filled and love filled lives.
With all the breeds and mixed breeds out there, big and small, why do you want a Border Collie?
One of the most active dogs needs an owner/Alfa who is highly active, so if your slowing down in your old age, have a hectic life, young children to look after or not much of a walker asking the above question is important.
Border Collies are wonderful dogs, but don't confuse them as just great family pets, if you give the stimulation needed they are great family pets, if you don't then they can be a nightmare, as they will find ways to stimulate themselves.
Its as much about whether you are right for the dog as the dog is right for you, as once you have a Border Collie, or any dog really, it is yours and you are theirs.
So I will ask many questions of anyone wanting one of my puppies, if you don't want the questions then go buy from a farm, where the dogs are products and the breeders don't really care what happens to the products once they have their money; my dogs are not products, I care very much for them and for their futures.
I want great home for these puppies. Only a home where as a young pup they will not be left alone, they are very active, high energy dogs, who need lots of play, love and running around; if your not a high energy person you wont be right for them.
My 3 dogs were all brought from puppy farms, none of them were toilet trained or used to home life; pups that I rehome will be much further on, as they will spend most of their time indoors, as part of the family, learning how to be a family doggy.
Rehoming date is depending on puppy's development.
Lucy has been well fed, she put on an extra 8kg during pregnancy, and she has been well rested for the four weeks before due date.
But there is never any certainty of great health and long life where pups are concerned, as there is not with any living, breathing creature. But I would never knowingly let a ill pup be rehomed, I know how I would feel if being sold a sick puppy.
Any question, please feel free to ask.
As to price, if puppies are taken at 8 weeks or arranged to be taken at that time price will be £275 for a puppy, if no arrangements have been made they will then begin their injections and won't be leaving until that stage is complete, price will then be £350 per puppy, as cost of treatment, food, training tools will be added.
If puppies stay with me until they are 3 months old they will be trained to walk on lead, or harness, to sit, lay down and come on command, plus a bit of training to whistle if possible. All jabs will be done, which is the reason for price hike, each jab costs, plus appointment costs £30 for each jab
If you believe price is too high then your not right for these dogs.
All pups will been moulded to like play and cuddles, so they will need a home where lots of play and love is available to them.
My other dogs eat far better than I do, raw meat, bones, fish, raw veg, rice, they come first, they rely on me and so they get the best, I want these puppies to have the same.
Feel free to ask questions, but please don't waste my time or yours declaring interest if your not really interested.
One other point that needs to be agreed, if you have one of these puppies and then realise you can't keep/look after them contact me and I will take the doggy back.
