A Housekeeping Assistant is required to join our team in Edinburgh.
This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week. This will involve working 5 days out of 7, including some weekends.
WHAT THE HOUSEKEEPING ASSISTANT JOB INVOLVES:
The Housekeeping Assistant role is a varied one where no one day is the same. You`ll be working within a friendly and supportive team and play a vital role in making sure that students living in our properties have a great experience.
Covering a number of our properties, you will be providing a housekeeping service:
-Ensuring a high level of cleanliness and order is maintained throughout the communal and external areas of the properties
-Cleaning students` communal kitchens twice a month
-Undertaking ad hoc duties such as carpet cleaning, freezer defrosting, room inspections, emergency/incident response, minor maintenance duties, logging maintenance issues and assisting with stock control processes
Working in the properties you`ll be building up relationships with customers and colleagues from day one and your customer service duties will include:
-Following up on any customer or property related issues
-Assisting customers with any queries or issues

WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN YOU:
A genuine passion for customer service is the most important quality for us.
Although you may not have worked in the accommodation, hospitality or retail sectors before, what is really important to us is that you:
-Have experience in a customer facing domestic or commercial cleaning or a housekeeping role
-Are a first class team player who possesses a positive and collegiate attitude
-Are able to work flexible hours (including weekends as required), and to take part in a rota
-Enjoy understanding and delivering against customer needs
-Possess excellent communication skills and can build relationships effectively with people
-Have basic computer literacy
-Are able to work quickly, whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy
-Have excellent time management
-Are self-motivated and able to work on your initiative
