This is a custom-made, individually designed shepherds/beach hut, constructed as an art studio and built and delivered in December 2015. Unfortunately, due to personal circumstances, we are unable to use it, so it is virtually new and unused.

The hut is built in the style of a beach hut, but being set on wheels, it has the feel of a shepherd’s hut too. It is traditional in style, with very solid construction - built to last.

Set on four new solid cast iron wheels, specially cast from period-style moulds, the hut is made from red swedish pine for durability and strength. It is painted in environmentally friendly water-based paint. The deck is pressure treated to resist wet and rot and the roof is covered in a top quality mineral felt. Windows are all laminated glass.

The hut is fully painted inside and has some internal shelving for it’s use as an art studio, but it could be easily modified for another use, such as an office or extra guest bedroom. It has storage in the front roof section and a wooden floor. There is an electric hook up to the hut with cabling already supplied, ready to be attached once the hut finds a permanent home.

Maximum height to top of pitched roof is 2700mm, maximum length from front decking to back of hut is 3650mm (12 foot) and width is 1830mm (6 foot). The wheel span is 2000mm, so the wheels sit slightly wide of the hut.

The hut can be moved to transport using a hiab crane (about £200 rental). It is in West Wittering, Sussex and viewings are welcome by appointment. Payment is to be made by transfer, cash or cheque, *no PayPal*, and payments will need to clear before collection.
