Special needs home childcare, male- 2 years autism experience, PostGradCert in Autism Studies (TBC)
Description
Special needs home childcare worker for hire:-
About me:
Hi,
I am a smiley, enthusiastic person with a passion for caring for children and young people with special needs.
I enjoy outdoor activities and creative fun! I am new to home childcare, but have experience in special schools and play scheme groups as well as care farms.
I have just moved to Cheadle, Staffordshire with my fiancee, to be closer to her family. This has meant that I have had to leave my jobs in Birmingham, but I intend to work in special schools as a supply TA from September. I also have a lot of love for animals!
My experience:
I am a qualified Level 3 Teaching Assistant. I have worked in a primary school for children with Autism for the last two years after obtaining a degree in Education Studies at university.
I am currently working towards my Postgraduate Certificate in Autism Studies.
I have also worked, as a support worker and facilitator, for a play scheme group for children and young people with special needs for nearly two years. This involved supporting children, between the ages of 5-18, with a range of additional needs, to engage in fun activities in groups or individually. I also planned and ran these sessions as part of my role as facilitator.
Relevant additional training:
• Level 2 Award in Combined Paediatric First Aid (first response training)
• Level 2 Award in Moving, Assisting and Hoisting (first response training)
• Epilepsy Awareness Training (NHS)
• Asthma Awareness Training (NHS)
• Anaphylaxis Awareness Training (NHS)
My availability:
Mainly I will be available during school holidays, weekends and some days before or after school hours.
Rates:
To be discussed, dependent on required care.
